NY to MA and back

Two friends and I drove to MA yesterday to play a concert at Clark University. We also read some student compositions which was a surprisingly fun experience. The excitement and enthusiasm was really wonderful, something that doesn’t show itself much at a conservatory: reminds me to take less for granted. The concert, all in all, went well. I think all of the composers that were present were pleased (Elliot Carter couldn’t make it :-P ), and the (small, but mighty) audience seemed to have enjoyed it. Then we drove back.
